Educational Offerings
The charter for the HCMA is to provide training and development resources for marketing and communication professionals. As our members travel along their career path, having opportunities to continue to acquire knowledge to compliment the individuals need level is critical.
To meet this challenge, the HCMA offers access to new knowledge and skills in a variety of formats and venues to meet the needs of the individual member to enhance job performance skills.
Executive Education Programs

The Executive Education Committee understands the need for geographic diversity and the spread of programs throughout the year. These programs target the needs of different levels of marketing and communication professionals throughout your professional career. The HCMA currently offers four executive education programs:
  • Andersen Graduate School of Management, UCLA
  • Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University
  • Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania

The HCMA can deliver a training and development curriculum tailored to meet the unique needs of professionals within your organization. These programs are customized based on industry focus - pharmaceutical, biotech or medical device company, or service side such as a healthcare advertising agency, publisher or public relations firm. The HCMA curriculum designers have developed customized, competency-based classroom programs that can be delivered in one of the following formats:
  • on-site lunch 'n learn programs on the highlights of the strategic marketing planning process
  • on-site one-day seminars that teach the components of a strategic marketing plan
  • on-site two-day training conferences that teach us not only how to develop a strategic
    marketing plan but also how to manage and evaluate its implementation
